Produce parts to drawing or other specifications using polishing equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Use polishing equipment to achieve a high gloss or other finish as defined by documentation.
• Follow established work procedures and standard practices.
• Monitor quality of work to ensure that it meets established criteria or other defined parameters.
• Achieve established targets for daily output.
• Keep work areas clean and follows guidelines of organization and equipment preventive care.
• Performs additional duties and assignments, as requested.
• Performs safe practices.

Requirements

Education: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Training: 

• Reference Quality Management System training requirements for job-specific and quality system training. 

Skills: 

• Demonstrated proficiency in polishing components to a high gloss finish.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assignments as prioritized by Production Supervisor or area coordinator.
• Read manufacturing drawings or other work instructions.

Experience: 

• 2-3 years polishing of stainless steel and aluminum thin-walled components.

Physical Demands:

• Required to travel around the shop and visit all established work stations.
• Ability to write read and interpret documentation.
• Required to frequently use a computer.
• Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes and other materials.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must routinely use lift trucks and other material handling devices.
• Required to visually identify defects in incoming materials as well as use inspection tools and equipment.
