Overview

The TLC IT Team is looking for an IT Technician to join their team! 

Primary Job Function:

This position will have the responsibility of installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing systems and networks; utilizing basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives; providing first-level technical information systems support to all TLC affiliated communities; and resolving routine technical problems under direct supervision of the Director of IT.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilites:

  • Providing IT systems support to TLC and affiliated communities. This includes:
  • Performs basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems for TLC communities including the corporate office.
  • Performs routine pro-active maintenance as scheduled by supervisor.
  • Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
  • Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials; performs data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, general reports and/or systems errors.
  • Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
  • Assists with the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.
  • Assists with research and development initiatives and in the implementation of new technologies.
  • Assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices.
  • Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and/or systems.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifations/Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A higher education and/or 2 years’ experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. May be interchangeable on a year for year basis.

Have interpersonal/managerial skills and thorough knowledge, skills, and abilities of IT practices.

  • Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Applicant needs to be willing to travel within the states of Indiana and Florida.
  • Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of focus.
  • Ability to provide direction to staff to resolve technological issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve basic computer problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or systems.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions, function independently and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel.
  • The ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Judgment in prioritizing the performance of tasks, duties and responsibilities in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
  • The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPPA.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity and physical level in which they are currently functioning.
  • The ability to adhere to professional code of ethics.
  • The ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition to the appropriate staff members.
  • The ability to work Monday-Friday during normal business hours and the ability to take call and come in during off shifts as needed (i.e., weekends, midnights, and holidays).
