Yard Supervisor:

• Move trailers on the company property and occasionally deliver products locally
• Administer all work yard operations and ensure compliance with safety policies. Always maintain a neat and clean yard.
• Organize and prioritize trailer placement in collaboration with the Outbound and Inbound Coordinators
• Perform survey and analyze results to implement all safe work procedures. Ensure proper handling of all materials and store appropriately
• Monitor inventory of yard supplies and place purchase orders as necessary
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on equipment and prepare reports to submit to the terminal manager
• Successfully place equipment at corresponding doors, chock tires, and set trailer jacks. Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, with proper certifications within safety and company procedures
• Transport trailers between two facilities located across the street from one another. Safely maneuver a tractor and trailer combination vehicle in a compact yard area
• Inspect the merchandise for damage or unsafe alterations and report any findings to management. Pull equipment from the door once given all clear, close the doors, and ensure the seal is properly attached
• Maintain processes and procedures in accordance with company regulations and safety standards. Complete daily inspection of jockey truck noting any maintenance issues to management
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by management

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills
• Must be flexible in work hours
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
• Must possess excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to follow instructions and complete required training

· Valid Driver’s License. CDL license highly preferred

Physical Requirements:

• The associate must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Able to Perform work in a non-refrigerated work environment with temperatures that vary from 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Be able to perform work inside and outside of the facility
• Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg
• Works in a warehouse environment in all types of weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
