Location: 

• Kansas City, Missouri

Responsibilities

• Support all electrical infrastructure directly associated with the Primary Datacenter
• Utility feeds to the data center
• Emergency power (generators)
• Auto-transfer and parallel switchgear
• Large UPS systems
• Critical load panels
• Step-down transformers
• Power distribution units (PDU)
• Remote Power Panel units (RPP)
• Power assemblies (varying amperage)

Qualifications

• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing 50 lbs. or more unassisted.
• Must be able to climb and balance (stairs, ladders, scaffolds, etc.).
• Must be able to work under raised floors.
• Must be able to work in confined space, such as electrical vaults.
• Specific vision abilities required – close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust/focus.

Certification:

• Active Journeyman Electrician license from the State of Missouri or equivalent
• UPS and Battery System Operation certification

Education:

• OSHA 10 and 30-hour Safety training certifications
• NFPA 70E Arc Flash Training

Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
