Job Highlights: The Philipp Law Firm has an immediate opening for an associate attorney! We are a small boutique litigation firm that specializes in civil trial practice in both plaintiff and defense work. The associate will practice in a broad range of practice areas which will include personal injury, wrongful death, business litigation, contract law, family law, traffic and criminal law.

Qualifications: The Firm is looking for an attorney with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.

In addition to the aforementioned, applicants must have the ability to handle large caseloads and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Applicants must have experience researching and drafting legal briefs, preparing and following up on detailed discovery, taking depositions, and assisting in the management of litigation matters.

Applicants must also have experience and be comfortable with attending court dockets and hearings on a daily basis.

Be willing to work with senior attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of litigation.

Responsibilities:

- Conducting trials, hearings and conferences with judges

- Taking depositions of Plaintiffs, Defendants, witnesses, experts and other parties

- Conducting discovery

- Performing legal research

- Maintaining current on legal developments in case law and statutory changes in order to advise clients

- Drafting pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents

Education and Qualifications: The qualified candidate shall possess the following requirements:

- Licensed to practice law in Missouri.

- Preference given to attorneys with prior experience in litigation and discovery.
