Timberline is Hiring a Banquet Manager Near Government Camp, OR

Description

Oversee events booked by Sales Dept., hire, train, schedule and direct staff before, during and after events. Ensure event spaces and necessary equipment is in good repair or replaced as needed. Maintain a professional team player attitude, clear communication skills and embody our company philosophy “Have Fun Getting it Done….Well”. 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee and direct Banquet and Catering operation to include but not limited to training and supervision of staff.
  • Meet labor goals.
  • Maintain décor and prop level to ensure buffets and tables are well-prepared for events.
  • Ensure banquet rooms and spaces are clean and in good repair at all times.
  • Ensure details from Banquet Event Orders are handled promptly and completely.
  • Provide efficient, proper and excellent food serve to guests.
  • Oversee requisition and acquisition of all food and supplies required for projected daily operational needs.
  • Responsible for seeing that work area cabinets, doors, etc. are secured at the end of each operational day.
  • Responsible for Christmas Decorations throughout the Lodge and Day Lodge.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings and all Manager/Supervisor training scheduled by HR.
  • Other duties as assigned by Timberline management.
  • Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
  • Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, re-use, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
  • Present a professional, quality image at all times.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have service-oriented personality.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to set and meet high customer service standards.
  • Must use proper etiquette while conversing with guests.
  • Must know and follow all proper service procedures.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of but not limited to Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to multi-task work under pressure.
  • Must have valid OLCC and Oregon Food Handlers permit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
  • Must be able to work in tight space with balance and poise.
  • Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to keep up with the pace of the department demands of the position.
