TierPoint is Hiring a Remote Financial Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a talented, data-driven, Financial Analyst to support Corporate Business Intelligence and Fiscal Operations. The Financial Analyst will conduct research and analyze data and processes in such areas as operational performance, financial performance, sales productivity, KPI’s and other financial and non-financial metrics. Utilizing PC systems and software, develops and maintains dashboards, compiles and prepares reports, graphs, and charts of data developed. Develops business studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses and reports. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and recommends solutions to business challenges. 

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values
  • Creates dashboards and spreadsheet tools to aid in the presentation and management of data
  • Works with Enterprise Data team to identify data sources and assist with the development of data models used to support enterprise reporting priorities
  • Collaborates with department leaders to build, maintain, and analyze department financial and operational reporting
  • Assists with analyzing data and explaining findings to department leaders to facilitate problem solving
  • Provides data and analysis to provide key insights into departmental and organizational performance, including sales, operations, and corporate KPI’s
  • Communicates results to management and department leaders and provides recommendations of reporting and process improvements
  • Ensures timely preparation of reports and analyses by coordinating with senior staff
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree is a related field of study or equivelent work experience
  • 1 years Business, Data or Financial analysis experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional groups
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle sensitive and pressured situations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and with others
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms, including dashboard creation

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, statistics, economics highly preferred
  • 2 to 5 years Business or Financial analysis experience
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent, including report and dashboard development
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 1-3 years SQL select experience
