The ideal candidate:

• Must be an experienced Veterinary Technician (LVT Preferred)

Job Overview

• Performing diagnostic lab tests: bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal float, cytology
• Preparing patients for surgical procedures: administering anesthesia, intubating, prepping surgical site.
• Assisting the veterinarian during surgical procedures
• Monitoring patient vitals during procedures and recovery
• IV catheter placement and phlebotomy
• Radiology
• Administering SQ, IV, or IM injections
• Be able to competently respond to emergency cases that arrive.
• Maintaining patient charts and client communication
• Triaging patients and determining if a patient is deemed stable.
• Advising pet owners on post-care instructions
• Administer blood or blood products and properly use transfusion log.
• Assist in answering phones and checking patients in.
• Managing workflow
• Ensures appropriate standards of patient care and client service are maintained
