Position Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Engineer is the key factor in troubleshooting and debugging company systems. The department relies heavily on this position to recognize inefficiencies and establish processes to fix it. This role will cover duties ranging from monitoring networks, spear heading system upgrades, or complex issues that require immediate resolution or escalation to the Director of Technology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Some travel may be required.
  • Typical Shift: Office Hours, Monday - Friday. May be asked to work outside of normal office hours as situation demands.
  • Monitor and ensuring all operating environments for availability, security and efficiency.
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. 
  • Identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities with proper incident response when required.
  • Providing orientation and guidance to end users on how to operate new software and computer equipment. 
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work. 
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
  • Add, remove, and modify user accounts and data with integrity. 
  • Promote company culture in a positive manner.
  • Find and implement processes and/or tools to make business processes more efficient. 
  • Maintain inventory and password lists and ensure they are stored securely. 
  • Training and mentoring for junior staff members when necessary. 
  • Other duties assigned by leadership.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform required duties. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger and required to reach with hands and arms. There is no significant standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling. The person in this position needs to be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. There is a constant operation of a telephone and computer. The employee may be lifting up to 15 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while in an office environment. The work is typically done while sitting at a desk or table.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Experience & Qualifications

The most successful candidate in the position will meet most, if not all, of the following criteria.

  • 2-3 years of relative office experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • A security focused mindset
  • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • The ability to multi-task and manage projects efficiently and effectively
  • High degree of confidentiality and the ability to treat all matters with the appropriate discretion
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on new challenges as the company grows
