POSITION SUMMARY: Director of eCommerce is responsible for the strategic development, day-to-day management, and optimization of Commerce technologies with the goal of improving customer experience and driving eCommerce sales growth. This position demonstrates strategic business planning, financial, and resource management skills, as well as interpret quantitative data sets including a strong understanding of online metrics and experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. This position thrives in an ambiguous, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment that requires the ability to multi-task and implement high-priority initiatives. The Senior Manager of eCommerce has a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships to achieve business outcomes. Has excellent people and project management skills, and the ability to structure work and lead a diverse team of both internal and external resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job. 

  • Develop and implement strategies short and long-term eCommerce strategies to increase web site traffic, customer acquisition, conversion rates, average order size, engagement, customer retention, customer profitability and reduce cart abandonment rates. 
  • Lead cross-functional team to plan, design, develop, and execute eCommerce capabilities on site. 
  • Architect user experience and manage workflow of all web platforms (web, email, social) in collaboration with Creative team and Marketing channel owners. 
  • Develop clear and realistic business case scenarios for new digital product capabilities to rationalize resource investments; develop project requirements and other documentation as required. 
  • Lead development of internal processes for feature development, content creation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel, and promotional campaigns. 
  • Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion, a/b testing, and reporting. 
  • Provide a personalized online experience based on behaviors, actions, and segmentation. 
  • Serve as thought leader, identifying new revenue opportunities through research, business unit feedback, and sales performance analysis. 
  • Develop short- and long-term objectives, consumer metrics, and overall performance measurement. 
  • Work with development team to identify opportunities for site improvement on technical factors, including website speed, in addition to collaborating with development team on prioritization. 
  • Analyze various data in order to deliver data driven strategies for delivering top performance as a means of achieving identified KPIs. 
  • Track and manage business KPIs to achieve eCommerce channel growth goals including net revenue/sales, gross margin, traffic, transactions, units, AOV, conversion, repeat and new visitors, product performance, promotion performance etc. 
  • Direct, negotiate, and inform business requirements of key technology platforms/partners; hands on management with industry leading eCommerce platforms. 
  • Research market in order to discover new trends and technologies to improve website performance. 
  • Identify new areas of eCommerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking

What You Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 6 years’ experience required in eCommerce / digital marketing related field. 
  • Expertise of eCommerce tools and technologies 
  • Deep experience optimizing SEO, CRO, UI/UX, ROI Analytics, and email marketing. 
  • Proven depth-of-knowledge in eCommerce.
  • Excellent understanding of UX, web design, customer flow, and web analysis.
  • Confidence in traffic analysis, reporting tools and optimization. 
  • Knowledge of attribution modeling, website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimization, traffic analysis and reporting tools. 
  • Experience with CMS management, Google Analytics, CRM automation, Google Tag Manager, CRO Testing, and UI/UX optimization.
