THOR Solutions is actively seeking an entry-level Business Analyst to provide project planning, analysis, and administrative support to NIWC Pacific Codes 81000 & 84000 in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience obtained in a U.S. Navy/DoD environment, with demonstrable skills in any of the following: Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Atlassian JIRA, Java.

The candidate’s responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing or supporting the following actions:

• Corporate strategy management, analysis, and administration
• Strategic intelligence analysis and administrative support
• Data management, visualization, and analysis
• Process management and analysis
• Website (Hub, Wikis) content management
• JIRA project administration & workflow development
• Analysis of Alternatives, budgetary assessment, cost-benefit analysis

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Must already possess an active or interim SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment.

Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, management, or science (e.g., industrial engineering, operations research, systems analysis) from an accredited college or university. Will accept DAWIA BUS-FM/CE or PM accreditation in lieu of a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• At least two (2) years of recent, relevant professional experience supporting corporate operation functions, including at least one (1) year of experience in data management, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience obtained in a U.S. Navy/DoD environment is highly preferred.
• Experience with Java, MS Excel, SharePoint, and Atlassian JIRA.
• Proficiency and experience with Atlassian JIRA project tracking software.
• Advanced proficiency and experience with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
