Thompson Thrift is Hiring a Service Technician Near Longmont, CO

Notch66 is seeking a Full-Time Service Technician in Longmont, CO to help with the day-to-day maintenance for our luxury, Class A, 336-unit property. As the Service Technician, you will focus on a range of maintenance needs including readying apartments for leasing, work orders, small renovation projects, and emergency maintenance. 

In this role, you must be able to lift up to 45 lbs regularly, perform corrective, preventative, and emergency maintenance. You will also work to complete tasks in occupied units and common areas, conduct apartment turnover and renovation work to ready apartments for our residents. 

Maintenance Skills/Common tasks: 

  • Intermediate plumbing duties such as snaking and clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, p-traps, toilets, sinks, faucets, installing dishwashers, trouble-shooting leaks, changing water heater elements, etc. 

  • Intermediate electrical (when no license required) such as replacing fixtures and outlets, running wire mold, installing small wall heaters and range hood vents etc. 

  • Replace window screens, garbage disposals, blinds, kitchen and bath fixtures, hardware, and repair and troubleshoot appliances, install and repair cabinets, adjust doors etc. 

  • Painting of interior and exterior, cabinets, walls, fences, etc. 

  • Perform light carpentry and drywall repairs, cabinet installs, installing kitchen/ bath fans and medicine cabinets, etc. 

  • Assist with custodial work in common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc. 

  • Assist with landscape maintenance, and trash hauling as time permits. 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. 

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in property maintenance, construction or related. 

  • Must be available to work weekends and on-call services. 

  • Valid driver's license required. 

  • HVAC preferred. 

  • CPO preferred.

Performing this job will sometimes require the employee to walk work sites that do not have infrastructure, this includes walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires the use of hands to finer, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Annual Salary*: $23.00- $25.00/per hour based on experience 

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
