Thomas College offers the ability for full-time employees and dependents/spouses to earn an undergraduate and/or graduate degree tuition free. Graduate programs are subject to taxes. 

The Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive alumni relations program designed to meaningfully engage Thomas College alumni after graduation. Additionally, the Director will create engagement opportunities for current students, effectively laying the groundwork for a lifelong relationship in support of their alma mater. 

The Director works closely with the Professional and Career Services Development (PCSD) and the Graduate division to connect alumni with each other, current students, and faculty and staff. In so doing, the Director helps to build alumni engagement and giving in ways that further the College’s mission, vision, and strategic plans.

This individual is the key developer and point person on alumni relations programs. They work closely with the VP of Advancement and key colleagues in the PCSD department and the Graduate division to identify and strategically recruit alumni volunteers, coordinate programming plans and activities, and market and promote attendance at events throughout the year, including Homecoming & Family Weekend. They support and drive volunteer activity to ensure alumni success, satisfaction, and continued work with the College.

Three to five years of previous experience in the field of alumni relations, membership engagement, marketing, communications or public relations is essential; experience in advancement, development, fundraising and event planning skills desired. Efficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills; proven ability to support clients or volunteers with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction; ability to participate and lead in a team environment; strong project-management and problem-solving skills. Must be a self-starter, deadline driven, and able to adapt and manage multiple and changing priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality a must. Some travel; evening and weekend hours required. A Bachelor's degree is required. Valid driver’s license and successful driver's license background check required.
