The Assistant Director of Nursing works with the Director of Nursing to manage the NursingDepartment with high professional and personal standards. He/She works with the Director of Nursingto plan, organize, coordinate and direct the nursing functions for professional and nonprofessionalnursing personnel to ensure the highest quality of care is provided in a cost effective manner with theresidents in the facility. This is done in an efficient and timely manner with consideration for bothhealth care and legal responsibilities of the residents, the facility and the employees.

The Assistant Director of Nursing works with the Director of Nursing to exercise administrativeauthority, responsibility and accountability for nursing service objectives, policies and procedures,nursing functions and activities, nursing care, and the nursing staff and their training.The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible to the Director of Nursing of the facility.

Other duties apply.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing currently registered with the state agency for nursing licensure and hold a valid Nurse's License in the state the RN is employed.

1. Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean
2. Completes educational requirements per policy
3. Maintains regulatory requirerments 
4. Occasional travel/overnights required for training, professional meetings, emergencies, and and evacuations
5. Reports to work on time and as scheduled
6. Wears identification while on duty
7. Must work throughout all areas of the facility
8. Completes work in designated time
