The Weitz Company is accepting applications for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator in our Denver office this role will support our strategic product line marketing efforts. Candidates who love to create marketing materials of all types including proposal pursuits, digital content, press releases, and more are encouraged to apply! An ideal candidate displays:

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CRM platforms, PowerPoint
  • Ability to edit, design and create new content (including video content)
  • Proactive, creative, with a keen attention to detail and independent abilities
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders and departments to determine the best channels and marketing materials to resonate with our key audiences

What You'll Do: 

Our Marketing team tells our company’s stories. This position is project-oriented, working across departments to create compelling pursuit proposals, project narratives, marketing collateral and digital content. This is a dynamic role, providing support to the Business Development teams and Corporate Marketing Manager by managing proposal preparation and supporting pursuit organization within our strategic product lines, improving marketing processes and systems for assigned projects, participating and preparing for required external and internal events, and always looking for opportunities to influence marketing strategy.

  • Support the proposal and presentation process through writing, design, research and overall team management
  • Complete project sheets and other general marketing activities using creative insight and adhering to all brand standards, while achieving marketing goals and maintaining a focus on safety
  • Utilize systems such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva to create graphics, proposals, presentation materials and other requested items
  • Support and maintain local office marketing activities such as award submissions, advertising, mailings, promotional items and meeting reports
  • Assist with local public relations activity (i.e. crafting press releases and media responses)
  • Create unique content for social media
  • Identify and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives alongside other business development, marketing and project team members
  • Assist in the compilation of qualifications, proposals and interviews
  • Support the execution of local project photography
  • Provide administrative support such as setting up for meetings, event and conference planning, filing marketing materials and processing invoices

What We're Looking For:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each previously stated duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to succeed in this role.

  • Education: High school diploma required; college degree in related study preferred.
  • Experience: At least two years’ experience in a general business and professional setting; previous marketing/public relations/communications experience is helpful but not required. Due to the nature of our business, architecture, construction management and/or engineering experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Candidate must possess leadership, project management, time management, organization, business writing, verbal and written communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Technology: Proficiency in basic computer software programs such as Adobe Suite (InDesign preferred), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Salesforce experience is a plus.
