The Wave is a company focused on the healing of our clients with Mental Health issues. As a Residential Treatment Center, we offer women the opportunity to come find a place to heal issues such as Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and much more. Through our various levels of care, we provide a structured all-day program that teaches coping and life skills. As a member of our team, you take part in the healing process and play a key role in getting our clients through the program. 

What is the Role

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner would be responsible for the Health and Physical and Psychiatric evaluation and follow up of our clients in 3 different facilities. The NP would be at each location 1-2x per week to meet with clients who are in our care. Our facilities are located in Dunedin, Clearwater and Brooksville.

• Complete Health and Physical evaluations for all clients upon admission.
• Complete initial Psychiatric Evaluation
• Provide weekly follow up visits to each client.
• Evaluate client medication lists and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Serve as a liaison to the nursing department involving routine medical issues.
• Charting in our EHR/EMR records system to maintain compliance.

What is Required

• Valid Nurse Practitioner License
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Screening
• Ability to download and or use company applications such as Microsoft Teams on your cellphone
• Moderate Computer Literacy and ability to use Electronic Health Systems

The Wave is a licensed facility through the Agency for Health Care Administration and accredited by The Joint Commission. As such all staff requires a Level 2 background clearance as well as a clean drug screen.
