Position: Full-Stack Engineer

Location: Vienna, VA

Overview: Group W is seeking a full-stack engineer to support several AI-enabled, cloud-native, multi-user applications and play a critical role in the ongoing development of exciting research projects. As part of a small, egalitarian team of developers, the successful candidate will wear multiple hats, voice their opinions confidently, and ingest critical feedback with self-correcting humility. An eagerness to acquire new knowledge and undertake broader duties is integral to success at Group W.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or a related field)
• 4 years' front-end web development experience
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining web applications with Vue
• Proven experience creating technical documentation in the form of commented code, workflow descriptions, and internal wikis
• US Citizenship
• DoD Secret clearance, or eligibility

Preferred:

• Familiarity or experience with any of the following other parts of Group W technology stack will facilitate the successful candidate's contributions across multiple projects:
  • MS Azure (or other cloud service such as AWS, GCP)
  • Cloud-native application tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • No-SQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis
  • Machine learning frameworks such as Tensorflow
  • GitLab (or GitHub), and agile development practices
  • REST API design
  • Python and/or C
  • Software design patterns
  • CICD Pipelines

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Use Vue to support complex data visualization, including geospatial information, abstract point clouds, and custom graph structures
• Participate in client liaisons to collect and refine project requirements
• Design user interfaces and implement them in code
• Work directly with the original application architects
• Report to a manager that is invested in the ongoing success of our projects
