The Campus Real Estate Office is responsible for many high profile activities in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities. Any applicant for the Real Estate Analyst position must meet the following criteria: Must be highly organized and detail oriented Must be able to efficiently coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with a minimum of direction Must be adaptable to shifting priorities in a high paces and demanding work environment Must be able to remain focused and organized while performing a high volume of tasks and assignments Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written) Must be an effective collaborator Must consistently demonstrates critical thinking and strong problem solving skills Must listen attentively, and be proactive in communicating any questions, comments or updates Purpose The Campus Real Estate Office is seeking an individual to fill the role of Real Estate Analyst who will support the core responsibilities of the Department. The Real Estate Analyst reports to the Director of Real Estate, and will provide support for core activities including, but not limited to; lease management; financial analysis; property management; contract review; accounting & payment administration; and other projects as assigned. Responsibilities Analyze and report on financial and business components of new and existing real estate contracts, leases, licenses, space use agreements, and other contracts as assigned. Administer recurring lease payments from UT, and monitor lease receivables to UT. Reconcile accounts and report monthly. Provide support for property management activities in collaboration with other UT departments and stakeholders. Prepare requests for proposals, scope of work, funding requests, lease extensions, amendments, and notices. Manage contracts with 3rd party consultants engaged by the Campus Real Estate Office under Master Service Agreements. Resolve inquiries and questions related to real estate held assets, perform basic research, and make recommendation. Assist with Special Projects. Consult with UT’s Legal Affairs Office, UT System’s Real Estate Office and Office of General Counsel under the guidance of senior real estate staff. Ensure compliance with U.T. System rules and policies as they relate to real estate. Required Qualifications Minimum of five years of commercial real estate experience, including commercial/multifamily property management and project management experience. Residential real estate experience does not qualify. Ability to evaluate commercial real estate documents for business and legal implications. Experience with accounting practices and ability to perform financial analysis of real estate agreements. Knowledge of RFP and RFQ processes. Familiarity with County property records and taxing authorities. Ability to create and edit maps and images for informational support. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in person and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within a State agency or City/County government. 2 years working in a financial analysis environment. Experience working within a public university system or institute of higher education. Knowledge of State and local statues and regulations. Familiarity with development and construction practices.
