TCW is Hiring an Associate Accountant Near Los Angeles, CA
Position Summary
TCW has an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join our Corporate Finance Accounting team. The Associate Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly general ledger entries, maintaining fixed assets module, account reconciliations, as well as various regulatory requirements, and supporting schedules for interim and annual audits. The position will also complete other special projects assigned by the manager. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) including application of those principles is required. The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to interact with various internal teams to develop new and innovative ways of achieving specific goals while providing superior service under tight deadlines.
Essential Duties
- Prepare daily and monthly journal entries
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and fixed assets reconciliations
- Prepare daily and monthly outgoing wires
- Integrate files from Excel to ERP system
- Prepare financial statements according to US GAAP
- Submit regulatory filing requirements for various agencies
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and interact with auditors as needed
- Support team in ad-hoc projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Knowledge of US GAAP and their proper application to financial institutions and general business transactions
- 3-5 years of experience in general accounting including fixed assets
- Proficiency in Excel required and working knowledge of Word

- Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to high standard of professional conduct
- Strong work ethic with a focus on delivering results and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with a mid-tier or higher accounting platform is desired: Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Oracle, SAP
- Prior experience in Fixed Assets System
- Prior experience in SAP Concur – Expense and Invoice
- Prior experience in BlackLine
