Production Assistant

We are currently seeking to build our team by adding a Production Assistant. The Production Assistant position is at the core of our business, working with our manufacturing team to prepare and process raw materials, using equipment to help create our line of vitamins and dietary supplements and is an essential part of our team.

Position Wage Range = $18 - 22 per hour * **

*All production assistants will earn at least $20/hr. within 12 months pending adequate performance.

**New employee sign-on bonus: New production employees will receive an additional $300/month up to a maximum of $1,500 (after 5 months of successful employment)

Full-time employee schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7a.m. to 6p.m. 

* Part-time shifts are available. Please discuss with the hiring manager. 

**Overtime hours are available.

As a Production Assistant on our team, you will have the following:

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

  1. Operate production equipment.
  2. Handle raw materials in pre-production phases.
  3. Repackaging and restocking of unused raw materials after production runs.
  4. Maintenance, set up, and equipment change-over.
  5. Sanitize and clean production areas and machinery
  6. Follow Procedures and adhere to Standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Ability to stand and work on one's feet for several hours at a time.
  2. Understanding of safety requirements.
  3. Basic math.
  4. Verbal and written communication.
  5.  Organization.
  6. Problem solving.
  7. Independent initiative.
  8. Flexibility with work assignments.
  9. Attention to detail.
  10. Use of pallet jack.

Physical Requirements

This role requires sitting, walking, or standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. Fine motor movements and high dexterity of hands and fingers are required. This position also requires high visual acuity and good hand-eye coordination. This role requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly and 75 pounds occasionally. Candidates in the role regularly Open cabinets, bend, stand on a stool or ladder, and climb stairs as needed. Repetitive tasks are performed for extended periods of time. This role requires the ability to communicate under noisy conditions. Hearing protection is provided and must be used as needed. This role requires wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to a full protection suit including hair bouffant, booties, face mask, scrubs, lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves for most of the shift. This role also requires use of a respirator using OSHA medical and fit-test standards, which includes being clean shaven and passing a respiratory test.
