The State Bank Group has a total of seven banking locations within five communities inside the boundaries of McHenry County, Illinois. The bank currently has an opening for a full-time and a part-time bank teller to service mainly our two Harvard locations. The ideal candidate will understand the requisite flexibility that is inherent in the role, be computer savvy, and have a strong grasp on the digital transformation occurring in the banking industry.

The responsibilities include: Greeting customers with professionalism and friendliness, developing strong knowledge of our products and services, assisting customers with their financial transactions, highlighting our digital banking channels, and embracing mobile banking technology. Additional duties include balancing a cash drawer, conducting, scanning, and reviewing transactions, supporting interdepartmental projects, and referring customers to other bank staff as needed. A fully functioning bank teller/new accounts representative understands and complies with the regulatory requirements impacting the banking industry. The position requires an ability to process transactions accurately and in a timely manner using the bank's core data system and ancillary systems. A significant requirement of the position also includes promoting a cooperative, inclusive, team-oriented environment and maintaining professional attitude fostering respectful relationships. Previous experience in a community bank setting is highly desirable. This summary of duties is not all-inclusive as other responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications or Skill Required:

• Manual dexterity for keyboarding and handling money
• Visual acuity for accurate cash handling and a strong attention to detail
• Professional customer service skills including experience with direct public contact
• Flexible availability to meet all State Bank Group hours of operation including Saturdays and a willingness to work at any location of our 8 locations
• Familiarity with office technology including computers, copiers, Microsoft Office software
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work calmly under pressure
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts and basic arithmetic skills
