KITCHEN MANAGER

The Stand Restaurants is a fast-casual dining restaurant with 15 locations across Orange County, Los Angeles, and Houston Texas. We are growing fast, with plans to open 3-4 new locations per year. We are looking for individuals with one years of kitchen manager experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or two years as an assistant kitchen manager

We are Looking for kitchen managers that have the following:

• Outgoing personalities and friendly attitudes
• Ability to work well with others and lead a team
• An overwhelming desire to go above and beyond to provide a great guest experience
• Two or more years of Assistant Kitchen Management experience

Responsibilities as a Kitchen Manager:

• Training and mentoring kitchen team members
• Ensuring meal segment efficiency and productions
• Food purchasing and managing food budgets
• Ensuring consistency and portioning of all food products
• Monitoring and ensuring upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all kitchen equipment

Kitchen Manager Required Skills:

• Salad, fry, grill and expo experience
• Ability to oversee daily prep lists
• Display high-functioning organizational skills
• Ability to order according to budget/pars and ensure delivery receipt from vendors
• Proactive, punctual, and a great communication skill
• Positive attitude and ready for a challenge

Essential Functions

• Being a team player and showing efficient communication skills
• Exemplifying our mission and culture
• Preparing food items as needed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Following recipes and presentation specifications
• Operating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Cleaning and maintaining a station by practicing good safety and sanitation procedures and protocols as needed

* Must be 18 years of age or older

Working Conditions

• Frequent walking and standing for long periods of time
• Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
• Repetitive bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
• Repetitive use of hands, including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Occasionally access high storage shelving with the use of a step ladder
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including steam, high kitchen temperatures, humidity, freezers, refrigerators, indoor air conditioning and outdoor/patio conditions

Schedule

• Full-time
• Five days a week, including weekends and holidays, approximately 40-45 hours per week
