The Spice & Tea Exchange is Hiring a Vendor Manager Near St. Augustine, FL

The Vendor Manager represents the organization to our vendors. This position is an integral position on our Supply Chain team, responsible for actively managing our vendor relationships, analyze performance, quality, and compliance metrics, as well as identifies continuous improvement opportunities. The Spice & Tea Exchange is centralizing the Vendor Management function, requiring the Vendor Manager to partner internally with the business partner to understand and represent the business needs and provide advisement on business risk, contracts, compliance, and the other related aspects of vendor management. 
Essential Job Duties:
  • Be the single point of contact for our vendors, acting as the Vendor Relationship Manager
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers across products, services and supplies.
  • Assess vendor performance to include manage vendor quality controls
  • Manage vendor compliance in alignment with company standards
  • Resolve supplier issues and concerns
  • Manage all aspects of pricing
  • Maintain a pulse on the vendor landscape to source qualified suppliers as well as identify alternate sources to manage business risk
  • Outline sourcing strategies by category in collaboration with the appropriate internal stakeholders 
  • Identify opportunities to optimize our vendor mix and/or continuous improvement opportunities. 
  • Conduct market studies to identify alternate vendors, understand market trends that could influence supply chain management practices
  • Manage and evolve the Vendor Management Program based on industry leading practices.
Knowledge and Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
· 5 – 7 years’ experience in Vendor Management
· Supply Chain Management experience, required
