The Seattle Mariners Baseball Club is Hiring a Video Editor Near Seattle, WA

Job Title: Video Editor

Department: Productions

Reports To: Manager & Producer – Video Productions

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Primary Objective:  Responsible for producing, shooting and editing content to be utilized in-park, across Club digital platforms, broadcast television and other media channels.

Essential Functions:

  • Exercise creativity and self-motivation to contribute to a culture of professionalism and exceptional video production.
  • Collaborate with producers, peers and others to present, create and execute ideas that meet the club’s objectives.
  • Serve as a videographer and editor for a variety of projects, including, but not limited to, in-park features/videos, digital/social content, television programming, commercials, tickets sales, special events, community initiatives and internal requests.
  • Create content for multiple platforms. Including, but not limited to in-park video and LED displays, digital platforms, broadcast outlets, etc.
  • Produce content in a variety of styles and techniques, while working within the Mariners brand and style guides.
  • Create quality production elements in a timely manner, often within tight deadlines. Including, during normal and atypical work hours.
  • Review, proof and edit content with a critical eye in coordination with other team members.
  • Assist with shooting and motion graphics as needed.
  • Manage the tagging and delivery of commercials to broadcast partners in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
  • Fulfill internal video requests and dubs for the production department.
  • Work and excel in a fast-pace, deadline-driven, creative work environment.
  • Perform video production game duties as assigned.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred. Equivalent, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education if approved by management.
  • 2-3 years of previous video editing experience required.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

  • Embraces feedback and input from supervisors and others to create exceptional work.
  • Ability to represent the organization in an exciting and professional manner through content creation.
  • Proficient in non-linear video editing (Adobe Premiere preferred).
  • Experience with video production equipment (ENG & DSLR cameras, lights, audio gear, etc.) a plus.
  • Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically AfterEffects & Photoshop knowledge a plus.
  • Experience with script and voiceover writing a plus.
  • General knowledge of baseball.
  • Competent in required job skills and knowledge. Completes work assignments thoroughly and completely in an accurate, and prompt manner. Identifies and corrects errors. Is careful, alert and accurate, paying attention to details of the job.

Physical Activities and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able and willing to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, games and special events.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. (Computer, keyboard, mouse and telephone, performing clerical functions)
  • Accessing office and work areas.
  • Must be able to access assigned locations in T-Mobile Park including navigating concrete stairwells, ramps and concourses.
