THE SALVATION ARMY is Hiring a Program Manager E - 777 Families First Near Memphis, TN

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has opening for a Program Manager (2-year grant funded) for the Kentucky - Tennessee Territory, located in Memphis, Tennessee.
Job Summary:
The Program Manager plans, develops, administers, and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day operations and assigned staff providing case management services for the Families First grant and Pathway of Hope program in such a manner as to ensure maximum benefits to clients, the community, and funding agencies. Ensures the Pathway of Hope program is administered within established policies and procedures, including government grant and Salvation Army policies and guidelines. Builds new relationships with community agencies in the assigned service area and maintains effective working relationships with these community agencies for client referrals. Trains and mentors newly designated Case Management in the appropriate processes and procedures for the Pathway of Hope program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission, philosophy, culture, protocol, and organizational structure; knowledge of the principles and practices of effective case management and supervision; knowledge of effective and efficient methods of organizing and maintaining case management and program records; ability to render competent casework services; ability to plan, develop and successfully coordinate social service programs; ability to perform short- and long-range planning to enhance social services; ability to counsel staff at all levels to resolve potential social service issues and to protect the interests of The Salvation Army; ability to apply discretion and independent judgment when addressing and resolving social services issues; ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships between officers, staff, and professionals in the community; ability to discharge the duties and responsibilities consistent with the principles, standards, and the Orders and Regulations of The Salvation Army; ability to conduct the affairs of this position responsibly, efficiently, and economically and to motivate staff to do likewise; ability to conduct all activities of the position with a view to a to accomplishing The Army’s fundamental purpose of proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, which must find expression in both the message proclaimed and ministry or services performed; ability to travel as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a related field, and five years’ experience performing responsible social services case management work with at least three years in supervisory role or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements; ability to read, write, and communicate the English language; ability to read and comprehend legal terminology in order to determine compliance; ability to perform public speaking; ability to calculate figures and analyze mathematical computations with accuracy; ability to lift or leverage innumerable boxes of food and other essential supplies; ability to drive to assigned areas, as needed; work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment; moderate mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Work is performed in a typical office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
