Location: The Salvation Army, Lakeland, FloridaPosition Type: Regular Full-TimePay Range: $12.00 – $14.00/ HourAbout this opportunity:Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles; performs routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape; performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work.Key responsibilities:Performs routine building maintenance activities; performs minor pluming repairs required by leaking faucets and clogged toilets; performs carpentry work required to repair dents and/or holes in walls and paints walls.Maintains the grounds to include mowing grass, trimming hedges, blowing leaves, and collecting debris; maintains the beautification of the grounds.Performs preventative maintenance of Salvation Army vehicles; monitors and replenishes all fluid levels.Drives truck in order to pick up materials and repair items needed for maintenance work.What we are looking for in you:High school diploma ANDTwo years’ experience performing maintenance work in a general maintenance environment ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Valid State Driver’s License Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to perform heavy lifting of supplies, materials, etc. weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
