The Salvation Army Eastern Territory is Hiring a Development Specialist Near Columbus, OH

Overview

Classification: Full-Time, Non-exempt, 40 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekend days.

Salary: $22.00 per hour

Job Focus: The Development Specialist is the liaison to the Marketing & PR Firm. Coordinate and execute LemonAiD Campaign. Coordinate Sporting Clays Event in conjunction with Sporting Clays Committee Chair. Bring event sponsorships to fruition. Seasonal duties listed in job description. Carry a small caseload of donors.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point with capability to perform mail merges and to do web research
  • Able to work independently with good initiative and judgement
  • A positive, contagious “can-do” attitude.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards
