The Roger Bacon Academy is an education management organization that manages multiple charter schools. The following mission outlines the expectations of all employees at the school level as well as employees of The Roger Bacon Academy in providing support to the schools.

Compliance Specialist – Job Responsibilities

Purpose:

The Compliance Specialist will provide general support to all areas of the Department of Quality Control in regards to Compliance, Human Resources, Data Analysis, and the Beginning Teacher program to ensure the team is able to meet the needs of the schools managed by The Roger Bacon Academy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Department Head of Quality Control, the following are the duties and responsibilities of the Compliance Specialist:

• Maintenance of corporate level documents, Board policy handbooks, operations manuals, calendars, and schedules.
• Maintaining company directories, hierarchy charts, and associated job descriptions.
• Preparation of reports required by DPI in support of each school.
• Coordinate annual OSHA safety visits at each campus and required annual reporting. 
• Data entry support in Human Resources Information System to ensure integrity and reliability of employee information.
• Provide support to the Data Manager to ensure integrity and reliability of student data.
• Collection and organization of data from various surveys sent to stakeholders.
• Maintenance of current and historical corporate documents and policies.
• Performance audits of systems to ensure effectiveness of business processes.

Other Duties:

The Compliance Specialist will have a working knowledge of all current policies and procedures relating to the schools as well as the various tasks that The Department of Quality Control performs in support of the schools.

The Compliance Specialist reports to the Department Head of Quality Control for The Roger Bacon Academy. This position will be required to travel as needed to the campuses of the schools managed by The Roger Bacon Academy. Additionally, the position is a 12-month RBA position and follows the RBA calendar.

Qualifications

The Compliance Specialist will have the following experience and attributes:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a science or business-related field or comparable professional experience.
• An effective communicator, with strong oral, written, and technical skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Familiarity with G Suite from Google is desired.
• Experience in educational institutions and teaching experience are desired.
• Confidentiality and attention to detail are a must.
• Physical ability to lift/carry 20 lbs and dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job.
