The RealReal’s Creative department is seeking a skilled Senior Writer to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Copy, this Senior Writer will craft quick and clever copy with a focus on email and direct response levers to create a shopping and selling experience our members love. The perfect candidate has experience writing for fashion retail and digital marketing placements, is familiar with the growing resale market, and is used to working in a fast-paced, high volume environment. What You Get To Do Every Day
- Help us build a compelling brand experience through communications like email, sms, push copy, and paid media
- Partner closely with design to produce cohesive, on-brief creative
- Support UX, product, and SEO copy requests to build a clear, on-brand digital experience
- Support internal initiatives by creating storytelling around our core values of expertise, community, and sustainability
- Participate in branding exercises, aiding in concept development and execution
- Manage multiple deadlines and priorities without excess oversight, taking the initiative to find answers and remove roadblocks to completion of work
- Complete multiple quick-turn copy requests from various cross-functional partners while still delivering high-quality work
What You Bring To The Role
- Minimum 5 years experience in a copywriting role at a retail brand
- Experience writing to an established brand voice with a prime focus on email and promotions
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and stakeholders
- Experience writing to a project brief and producing copy for multiple channels
- Ability to self copy edit when needed without an on-staff proofreader
- A passion for growing the circular economy and sharing TRR’s mission with our audience
- Knowledge of the fashion industry and current trends a plus
