The Senior Accountant role is a corporate accounting and reporting role, this position will report directly to the Corporate Controller and plays a critical role in the Company’s accounting team. The senior accountant is responsible for ensuring accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to financial reporting, technical accounting, and general ledger accounting. This position provides assurance of accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. Familiarity with NetSuite OneWorld preferred, but not required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensuring timely reconciliation while maintaining supporting subledger documentation.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve reconciling items, transaction errors, and other discrepancies
• Prepare monthly/quarterly variance analyses and explanations for material fluctuations
• Prepare support and documentation for external auditors
• Assist in preparation of month-end reports and analysis for management and external distribution
• Assisting with the integration of acquired organizations, including ERP migrations
• Providing planning and forecasting support as well as preparation of the consolidated financial plan.
• Assisting with contract review and oversight of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Assisting in the research and documentation of technical accounting matters including business combinations, revenue recognition and lease accounting.

Education and/or Experience

• 2 years accounting experience is required, prior public accounting experience preferred
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting
• CPA license preferred

Language Skills

• Ability to communicate professionally, in English, both written and orally
• Ability to write business correspondence and process procedures
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public
