The Progress Center Inc is Hiring a Marketing Specialist Near Oxford, ME

This position is also responsible for Marketing of The Progress Center to potential clients, business partners and community members.

Duties:

  • Social Media Management:
    • Build, plan, and implement the overall digital strategy to ensure brand consistency on editorial and content calendars
    • Oversee and manage all of the organization's social media accounts
    • Curate content from outside sources relevant to The Progress Center
    • Research and monitor competition (local and national) for new ideas
    • Assess performance trends and adjust plan accordingly
    • Create graphics and recruitment ad's for use on social media channels
    • Attend TPC Department and company-wide events to capture content for social media.
  • Event Management:
    • Under the direction of the Resource Development Manager, plan all types of internal and external company events.
    • Research appropriate locations
    • Design and distribute marketing material for events
    • Organize entertainment, vendors, and volunteers
    • Manage any relevant website or social media content associated with event
    • Develop sponsorship programs, identify potential organizations to target for sponsorship, create collateral and implement roll out plan.
    • In conjunction with Finance, Set up online payment systems for event ticketing
    • In conjunction with Resource Development Manager, identify attendees and organize RSVP list and seating chart prior to event
    • Communicate with event attendees about details (information, ticketing, seat assignments, etc)
  • Collaboration & Team Support:
    • Coordinate projects, including photo shoots, video production, etc.
    • Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, and attending professional development courses
    • Contribute to the overall success of the organization by performing all other duties as assigned
  • Fundraising and Community Out-Reach
    • Design and distribute annual appeal materials
    • Identify community events to elevate TPC's visibility in the community
    • Attend monthly Chamber of Commerce meetings, business after hours and other community events that allow for networking in the business community and research such events to attend.
    • Have detailed understanding of program options in order to promote services at community informational events.
  • Identifies, develops, tracks and communicates critical data on advertisement effectiveness across programs on a monthly basis and as needed.

General:

  1. Fulfill all training requirements.
  2. Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as regards services for people with mental health issues, intellectual disabilities and/or autism, including rights of recipients and mandatory reporting.

Qualifications:

  1. Dynamic personality with two (2) years' experience in Human Resources, Marketing, Sales or related field.
  2. Understanding of social services, including services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism preferred.
  3. Must possess a valid State of Maine driver's license. Statewide travel is expected.
  4. Must possess excellent organization, communication and human relations skills.
  5. Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation and insurance meeting Maine minimum standards
