Cleveland Rape Crisis Center is Hiring a Peer Group Facilitator (Contractor) Near Cleveland, OH

Position: Peer Group Facilitator (Contractor)
Reports To: Director of Clinical Services
Mission Statement:
Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC) supports survivors of sexual violence; promotes healing and prevention; and creates social change.
Position Summary: The Peer Group Facilitator (Contractor) is responsible for facilitating a monthly trauma-informed peer support group for various programs throughout CRCC. Each group runs for 90 minutes and focuses on case consultation and peer support around providing trauma informed individual, family, and group services to survivors of sexual assault and other complex trauma.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide an open, non-judgmental space for each of the group members to bring in clients, groups, or agency policies they wish to discuss
  • Allow space for group discussion and cohesion
  • Provide space to process the dynamics of providing on-going services to survivors and non-offending family members
  • Recognize and address symptoms within the group related to burnout and vicarious trauma
  • Provide space for group members to reflect on their own self-care needs
  • Reflect awareness of the clinician’s areas of strength and growth
  • Maintain a supportive environment for groups of the following providers: advocate, therapist, hotline specialist, case manager, and human trafficking specializations.
  • Provide a supportive environment for individual and group support
  • Provide staff with the tools they need for personal growth and help make connections to facilitate cross-team collaboration
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Social Services, Counseling, Art Therapy and/or a related field, with valid OH license (LISW-S, PCC-S preferred).
  • Experience using evidence-based modes of therapy
  • 5 years’ experience providing clinical supervision and ability to supervise per OCSWMFT Board
  • Experience and knowledge in working with survivors of sexual abuse and rape, and trauma-informed programming
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge about rape, sexual abuse, human trafficking, mental health, substance abuse, suicidality and other related issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff and key stakeholders
Hours: This is a contract position, hours will vary between 8-15 hours per month.
