POSITION SUMMARY

The Event Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Event Sales and Service Manager in achieving budgeted revenue goals for all event space rentals and ensuring a best-in-class client experience. Primary tasks include identifying and connecting with potential clients, leading tours of campus, managing an institutional event calendar, helping to maintain the event staff schedule, and supervising the execution of private events. This position is part of the operations and food/beverage teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Include, but are not limited to)

• Keeping up with correspondence and have accountable response times
• Monitoring and tracking of clients requesting information
• Continuation of customer service standards
• Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting
• Booking and facilitating site tours
• Coordination assistance on day of event
• Serve as the on-site contact and company representative during events as needed
• Direct contact with current and future clients
• Communication with management teams on any needs or areas of concern that may affect other departments
• Heavily invested in administration/computer work
• Coordinate scheduling of events for multiple venues on Peace Center campus
• Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to the position.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES (Include, but are not limited to)

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Sales and/or event experience preferred.
• Outgoing, motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments on a daily basis.
• Leader, self-starter, problem-solver with strong communication skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Team player and collaborator.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with event and catering software preferred.
• Enthusiasm for growth as the Peace Center campus expands.
