The Onin Group is Hiring an Area Manager Near Austin, TX

The Onin Group is a privately held, national, staffing group comprised of Onin Staffing, Focus, Excelsior Staffing, A3 Solutions, and Momentum Capital Funding. In spite of our size, we have maintained the highly personalized service, lean management structure, and partnership mindset indicative of a smaller, less bureaucratic company. 

The Area Manager is responsible for generating new accounts and strengthening existing ones. This role will require operational leadership, sales, customer service, as well as hiring, directing, and coaching internal staff across the market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Anticipate the needs of clients
  • Develop new client relationships
  • Improve current client relationships
  • Manage daily business activities including inside phone sales, client visits and proposals, and marketing campaigns
  • Oversee payroll and compliance
  • Manage and audit personnel records through accurate documentation.
  • Ensure Arizona branches are operationally supported, at times helping with recruiting efforts
  • Monitor, submit and follow up on compensation claims with the Safety and Risk Department
  • Communicate with clients to build rapport, fill orders, and resolve conflicts.
  • Manage conflict resolution with internal staff, teammates, and clients.
  • Maintain files on all internal staff, including performance evaluations, discipline, and personal time-off requests.
  • Manage and approve internal staff timecards.
  • Make discretionary decisions regarding coaching, counseling, or discipline of internal staff.
  • Communicate with Home Office and IT regarding maintenance of the office, including ordering supplies and maintenance of office technology.
  • Report any and all notifications of alleged harassment and/or discrimination immediately to the Area or Regional Manager. This includes claims of harassment/discriminations, complaints of supervisors/co-workers, complaints of the atmosphere at the job site, and any and all general complaints about the job or people on the job.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Management. 

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • 3 years of experience in multi-unit management
  • 2 years of experience in staffing/HR
  • 2 years of experience in sales or business development
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, candidates, and the general public.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite.
