The Navigators is Hiring an Associate Program Director (Overnight) Near Colorado Springs, CO

Overview

The Associate Program Director shall serve Eagle Lake Camps and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigator calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations or laborers living and discipling among the lost.

The Associate Program Director infuses the magic of Eagle Lake programs. This position provides leadership, direction, and management for Eagle Lake’s overnight camps including (Rez)identical, excursion programs and office staff. The Associate Program Director will work with the program management team in the overall planning, development, and execution of summer programming. The Associate Program Director is responsible for delivering exceptional experiences for campers across all overnight camps that are consistent with Eagle Lake's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy - Provide vision, leadership, and support for all aspects of Eagle Lake (Rez)ident and Excursion camps including design, planning, control, and improvement.
  • Leader Development - Provide oversight and supervision for direct reports (Rez Director, Excursions Director and Office Staff) by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures. Provide leadership with a developmental bias in order to grow leaders to take on the expanding work.
  • Staff Training and Development - Plan and execute program-specific orientation schedules to ensure summer staff are trained for their roles. Provide ongoing training to ensure staff are equipped to effectively fulfill their job responsibilities. Provide ongoing summer training and support for all levels of staff.
  • Staff Experience - Analyze and assess the summer staff experience and make recommendations that support an exceptional experience for summer staff, prioritizing development and care.
  • Camper Experience - Innovate and implement programs for the purpose expanding camp ministries that inspire Christ-centered love and commitment and are also in accordance with our brand promise in helping kids grow like Jesus grew in Luke 2:52.
  • Customer Experience - Establish and maintain an excellent rapport with parents, campers, vendors, and staff. Analyze customer feedback and make recommendations for program improvements based on data trends. Connect individually with various promoters/detractors to solve problems, gather feedback, and promote brand loyalty.
  • Program Development - Remain current with information on the developmental needs of youth and college aged adults and understand how to apply them in the camp setting.
  • Program Consistency - Regularly observe programs elements in action to ensure quality and consistency, including schedules, activities, bible studies, camper supervision, etc.
  • Culture, Policies & Procedures – Promote a culture in which staff live out the core values, are aligned with the Purpose Statement, and operate within the boundaries of Eagle Lake policies and procedures (EL Handbook)
  • Budget - Manage assigned budget responsibilities
  • Travel - Travel during recruiting season to achieve KPIs related to summer staff hiring
  • Ministry Partner Development – Raise personal support and meet annual funding requirements
  • Teamwork – Responsible to assist in the advancement of all Eagle Lake Camps’ programs as needed

Compensation Range: $36,000to $45,000/year
