Position Summary:

The Shipping Supervisor is to oversee the shipping area to ensure quality, food safety, productivity, and integrity of the operations. He is responsible for sufficient qualified staffing in that area and that the employees are properly attired and following "Good Manufacturing Practices."

Education & Training:

• Be able to use a computer, calculator, and a telephone.
• Ability to do frequent sitting, standing, stooping, and kneeling.
• Occasional exposure to extremes of hot and cold are possible.
• Must attend regular training classes for instruction in GMP's, Food Safety, Safety, Food Security, and HACCP.
• Preferably Bilingual
• Teamwork skills
• Previous experience in the processing area.
• Have a good attendance record

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• To make sure all employees are trained for their position. Training can be on the job or classroom training.
• Develops the work schedule so there is sufficient supervision on any workday.
• Communicates with Manager so he is aware of the daily happenings.
• Supply employees with the items necessary to perform their job safely and efficiently.
• Help schedule training classes for the plant employees regarding GMP's, Food Safety, HACCP, Safety, Food Security and operating equipment.
• Providing progressive discipline as needed.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of the Prerequisite and the Food Safety Program.
• To adhere to all company policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to company policies.

• Supervising Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
