We are looking for a responsible person to clean our facilities. The appearance of a building and its public facilities reflects on the rest of the business. It is important for a housekeeper/janitorial employee, to be careful and thorough in cleaning and tidying the premises each evening after a full day of use by customers, employees and other guests. The ideal candidate will be experienced in maintaining cleanliness and safe, sanitary conditions throughout the building and its facilities. A keen eye for detail and diligence in performing their cleaning duties is imperative. As an additional function with the requirement for a keen eye for detail, when it is noted that equipment, light fixtures, etc. are not working or need maintenance attention, these items will be reported to the GM on a routine basis. It will be the responsibility of the GM to follow up on getting these noted items repaired, replaced or corrected in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Cleaning entrances and doors.
• Report major damages
• Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting the alarm.

Skills

• Proven experience as custodian/housekeeper.
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Very good physical condition and strength
• High school diploma is preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
