Westerly Library and Wilcox Park seeks a collaborative, detail-oriented, highly enthusiastic, and public service oriented individual to work in their busy Youth Services Department. The ideal candidate will possess an ability to work with children of all ages and their families.

Duties include assisting with Kids’ Room programs, assisting patrons in locating books on our shelves and reserving books through interlibrary loans, answering phones, and shelving materials. Additional duties may include developing online and in person programs, providing computer assistance to patrons, enforcing library policy, and assisting in other library departments as needed.

19 hours per week. $16 per hour. Four days per week. Will be required to work some nights and Saturdays. The current hours for this position are:

Monday: 1-6

Tuesday: 9-2

Thursday: 1-5

Friday/ Saturday Rotation: 1 Saturday 11-4, then 2 Fridays 9-2 or 1-6
