Your neighborhood Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy announces seeks Pharmacy Technician at our retail store in Binghamton, NY.

Work Location: 1179 Vestal Avenue, Suite 1, Binghamton, NY

Status: Part-time

Work Schedule: Variable 20-30 hours/week coinciding with store operating hours (Monday-Thursday 8:30am-7:00pm, Friday 8:30am-6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm)

As a Pharmacy Technician specializing in adherence packaging you will be responsible for the production of pharmaceutical products in specialized blister cards or mediset planners. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Accurately prepare, pack, and label weekly planners as per scheduled routine, ensuring timely and accurate dispensing of medication into planners in accordance with patient profiles
• Assist in maintaining organization in the packaging area, keeping a clean and neat work space, and maintain an organized method of storing planners/baskets
• Assist in the refill process of medication for pack patients, ensuring refills are requested and received timely so there is no lapse in patient care
• Provide Customer Service by answering pharmacy telephones and provide excellent customer service to all patients throughout the pharmacy
• Maintains, replenishes, and keeps up-to-date inventory of packing supplies, working in conjunction with Management

In addition to being attentive to detail, an effective communicator, customer oriented, and highly accurate the successful candidate for this position must also have the following qualifications:

• Previous pharmacy experience, especially in specialized packing a plus, on-the-job training is available
• Must be able to stand for periods of 8 hours
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and handle other computer components
• Demonstrated ability to focus attention on tasks for extended periods of time
• Demonstrated history of accuracy and quality in work

Prior to beginning work, successful applicants must complete a background check consisting of criminal records check, Medicare exclusions check, employment verification, education verification, drug test, licensure/certification verification, and DMV motor vehicle record check, as applicable.
