The Matrix Club is a one of a kind venue, currently under construction, aiming to launch in November. Our location is located in the Western suburbs, and easily accessible off highway I-88. We are seeking a Banquet Manager who will be responsible for the proper set up, take down, scheduling, managment and service of all banquet functions. This position will be responsible for supervising all banquet employees to ensure satisfaction, and maintaining our service standards. The Banquet Manager will be responsible for training and oversight of employees to deliver prompt, high-level service in a manner that aligns with The Matrix Club.

The Banquet Manager will assist in hosting all types of events in our venue. We have seating capacity for up to 2,000 guests in our banquet room.

The Dhrishti Center: The Dhrishti Center for Performing Arts provides a unique location to host a captivating array of theater, music, dance, fashion shows, art exhibitions, and educational exhibits.
Responsibilities:
- Directing all banquet operations including staff management, purchasing and training
- Establishing a patron service plan and satisfaction program
- Directing shift assignments, opening and closing staff
- Planning and implementing menus and supply ordering
- Ordering and conducting inventory of all food and beverage needs
- Assessing customer preferences and making food/drink recommendations
- Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
- Coordinating all regulatory and health inspections
- Cleaning tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
- Meet demands of high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Oversee the dining room, check-in with customers and balance seating capacity.
- Manage Back of the House Staff and Wait Staff
- Oversee planning and execution of all banquet activities at The Matrix Club and associated properties
- Implement financial planning, tracking and reporting on the profitability of the venue
- In collaboration with Director of Operations, establish sales goals in alignment with financial projections
- Assist in all hiring and training of banquet staff
- Create and review leadership goals and performance
- Conduct inventory management and quality control of all departments
- Monitor safety standards, OSHA and other regulatory requirements of the venues
- Establish and implement a customer satisfaction program
- Conduct operational meetings
Skills
- 5 years in a parallel role in the banquet, restaurant or entertainment field
- Demonstrated record in planning and achieving financial objectives in the restaurant industry
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and events at once
- Experience in producing and serving multiple cuisine types
- Familiarity with marketing and sales strategies and tactics
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Cultural sensitivity and diversity is a top priority
Applicants should have experience with Banquet Management Software, Strong Communication Skills, Positive Attitude, Personable demeanor, Multitasking, Attention to Detail, Organization, Ability to Stand for Long Periods, Strong Observational Skills, Conflict Resolution, Computer Literacy, Second Language a Plus.
