The Market Ct (Northville & Bantam Markets) is a two-store chain known in Litchfield County as stores that offer quality products, service and a friendly family atmosphere.

Our Bantam Market location is currently seeking a Produce Department Manager to join our team and help us continue to grow with customer service always being paramount!

Produce Manager / Supervisor experience Job Qualifications

-Food safety practices and working knowledge of produce

-Flexibility to work with store schedule and needs

-Strong leadership skills

-Superior customer service skills

-Ability to train current and future staff members

-Able to lift 50-60 lbs., kneeling, bending, stairs, working rapidly especially during peak periods

Produce Manager / Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

-Embrace the local Farm Community-we do as much local as possible!

-Oversee operations of department and pricing for two stores

-Ensure freshness and variety

-Control purchasing to ensure we have the best product available at the best cost from multiple suppliers

-Maintain accurate inventory while minimizing product loss

-Manage produce staff and productivity of team members

-Motivate, coach and help staff grow

-Communicate with management team throughout the store
