The Lumistella Company is looking for a diligent Information Security Analyst to join our team! The Information Security Analyst serves to keep the organization up to date on cyber-security best practices, mitigate active threats, train employees, administer and utilize tools to monitor and prevent threats. They will participate as a key member in the organization’s Information Security program and will serve as a dedicated and proactive member of the IT team to manage the environment using current tools in place to prevent unauthorized and/or unintended access. As new tools and functions are implemented, additional management and administration responsibilities will be added.

The ideal Information Security Analyst Protection Analystwill bring:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT role, with at least 1 year of experience in an information security role OR 3 years’ experience as an engineer or systems administrator with a relevant certification;
• Experience with threat intelligence forums and participate in local cyber security communities (e.g., TAG - Cyber Security);
• Extensive experience with endpoint protection tools (antivirus, antimalware), firewalls, endpoint detection and response, SEIM, and auditing tools;
• Experience with McAfee EPO, Trellix, ProofPoint, SonicWall, Azure, Office365, Mac OS, Windows OS, Unix OS, Windows Server OS.
• Working technical knowledge of authentication protocols;
• Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols;
• Strong knowledge of SSL, certificates, website security best-practices, group policy, and Active Directory;
• Strong knowledge of frameworks and certifications.

Essential Job Functions and Duties of theInformation Security Analyst:

• Monitor company assets and respond to active threats affecting internal systems and networks;

• Monitor and analyze data flow to identify and block malicious behavior and activities;
• Participate in investigations towards identifying root cause for security events, evaluating anomalous activity, and tuning for frequent false positives. Provide timely, detailed, and complete reports on security events and incidents to leadership;
• Select, administer, and govern endpoint software and tools used to detect, prevent, and mitigate cyber-attacks;
• Develop or adjust Information Security Policies, planning documents, SOPs, and related materials as a critical participant in the organization’s Information Security Committee;
• Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments and security audits;
• Administer employee awareness campaigns and training on Information Security topics, including phishing;
• Anticipate new security threats and stay up to date with evolving technologies;
• Protects company assets through the proper management of asset files and adherence to company policy regarding information security and management.

Education requirements:

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (CIS, Engineering or Business)
• Information Security certification is preferred,
  • including (ISC)2 certifications (CISSP, SSCP), ISACA certifications (CISA, CISM), CompTIA certifications (Security , CASP ), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Security, or similar.

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.

• Requires sitting for extended periods of time, standing, visual acumen, and manual dexterity for working with computer keyboards.
• Position requires presence in the office consistent with the company’s Work from Home policy and whenever necessary to fulfill the functions of the role
