Position SummaryThe Proposal Coordinator is charged with providing full life cycle proposal support to our Growth and Account. As a growing firm with a platform of Contract Vehicles which include GSA OASIS, EXPRESS Logistics, GSA MAS, SeaPort NexGen and Navy’s PSMI MAC, there will be substantial opportunity to apply skills on a high volume of opportunities developing world class winning proposals. The Proposal Coordinator will be involved in the entire life cycle of business opportunities with significant opportunity to grow professional skills working alongside one of the industry’s best proposal consulting companies. Proposal Accountability

  • Receive and review US Government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and similar documents including dissecting RFPs and building / managing compliance matrices, supporting win strategies, and generating story boards when necessary
  • Develop and prepare proposal documentation, including proposals, presentations, capabilities statement, resumes and bios and other related materials, includes monitoring changes to solicitation and adjusting work accordingly.
  • Lead Request for Information, Market Research and Sources Sought responses.
  • Ensures each proposal is processed timely, compliant, complete, accurate and meets RFP requirements and editorial specifications; adheres to established in-house or other standards for quality, incorporation of graphics, coverage of the subject, and editorial style.
  • Pulls proposals together, integrating disparate components into a unified, coherent whole, up to and including production and delivery.
  • Facilitates Proposal Writing Team Reviews of work and provide feedback / edits on other’s drafts. Ensures proper formatting, version control and standards are used in all submission documents.
  • Work with all levels of the organization, across Departments (e.g. Growth, Account Management, Project Management, Corporate Operations, Training, Logistics, etc) and Pricing to ensure the information submitted is accurate and compliant.
  • Provides scheduling, guidance, and leadership to all proposal participants.
  • Ensures version control of all in-development proposal sections.
  • Works with graphic designers to plan visual representations of concepts.
  • Develop concept for effective graphics in support of Business Development activities.
  • Create/support and track proposal deliverables such as Data Calls.
  • Manage The Lockwood Group’s Proposal Center which serves as the central correspondence communication for all proposal related activities.
  • Manage The Lockwood Group’s Proposal Library which stores all of the company’s proposal artifacts.
  • Ad-hoc support to Account Management, Growth and Capture teams.

Requirements:
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business/marketing, English, Communications or applicable field
  • Experience working on proposals, reading, and analyzing requests for proposal (RFPs)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage proposals as projects
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal communications skills
