Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Training: You will oversee the front desk team and play a key role in training and mentoring employees to ensure they provide outstanding service.
Guest Relations: Be the welcoming face of our hotel. Check guests in and out, resolve any guest issues, and serve as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries and requests.
Communication and Coordination: Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other hotel departments. Your role is integral in ensuring a seamless guest experience.
Customer Service Excellence: Utilize your excellent customer service skills to warmly welcome all guests, answer phone calls and emails promptly and courteously, and provide information on hotel services and room locations.
Revenue Maximization: Identify opportunities to up-sell rooms, maximizing hotel revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction.
Financial Transactions: Accurately process cash and credit card transactions following established procedures, including posting charges, completing cashier reports, and preparing deposits.
Issue Resolution: Respond effectively to guest complaints and take appropriate service recovery actions to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Reservation Management: Handle guest reservations received via phone or in-house requests, and manage reservation changes, cancellations, and updates.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform clerical duties, offer guest room tours, provide concierge services, and handle special guest requests as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in a hotel front desk role.
- Fluent verbal and written English skills.
- Previous management or supervisor experience preferred.
- Some college education is a plus.
- Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates are preferred.
- Previous experience working at the front desk in a boutique hotel setting is a strong advantage.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Proficiency in using computers and office equipment.
- Strong communication, reading, and writing skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Effective problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Information:
Please note that we do not provide free onsite employee parking. Street parking alongside the hotel is available and free from 3 am to 9 am. For full-time employees, monthly paid parking may be arranged through various nearby parking lots.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
