We have an immediate need for a Structural Engineer for our Mineola, LI or New York City Offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design tasks in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood structures, shallow and deep foundations
• Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
• Prepare engineering calculation packages; assist in the preparation of design drawings and specifications
• Support the preparation of project models, design plans, specifications, and the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
• Serve as the lead designer on simple to moderately complex assignments
• Support the construction administration phase of projects through the review of submittals, response to Contractor RFIs, and performance of site visits and inspections
• Utilize a broad assortment of technical and critical thinking skills on projects that range from small renovations to large scale new construction 
• Involvement with local chapters of technical/professional engineering societies

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering, Master’s degree a plus
• 3 years’ experience in Structural Engineering
• NY/NJ PE a plus
• Understanding and application of code requirements
• Experience in using various structural analysis software
• Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on a team, multitask, and consistently meet deadlines
• AutoCAD experience a requirement, Revit experience a plus
