The LiRo Group is Hiring a Construction Inspector Near Queens, NY

Overview

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Construction Inspector for a multi-billion dollar renovation/upgrade project in the Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications
  • Prepare daily reports including description of contractor work activities, labor and equipment identification and quantity
  • Review plans to identify potential violations
  • Document inspections and report any issues
  • Determine the quality of materials being used 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years engineering experience with at least 5 years in diversified field construction inspection
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required (other Engineering or Architectural degrees may be acceptable)
  • Self-starter and organized capable of simultaneously working on multiple projects (terminals, buildings, bridges, ports)
  • Working knowledge of inspection and testing of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and architectural
  • Professional Engineer’s License in the State of New York or New Jersey is desirable
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and
  • Working knowledge of New York City Building
  • Valid driver’s license is required
