About The LineUp at Wai Kai

We are seeking a dynamic individual to work with us on marketing for Wai Kai and The LineUp at Wai Kai, which includes the worlds' largest standing deep-water surf park, expansive food & beverage operations, water-based activities on the adjacent 52-acre Wai Kai Lagoon, boutique retail store and a wide offering of events and contests. The right candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, sales and marketing expertise, and modern management skills; as well as the leadership qualities to develop an exceptional experience for both the sales and marketing team and the guests.
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing is the leader of the Marketing Team and overall marketing and promotional strategy at The LineUp at Wai Kai and will be directly responsible for managing and participating in the development and execution of the marketing strategies and tactics to achieve the revenue, content, social media, and website/online performance goals of The LineUp at Wai Kai and the overall Wai Kai destination.
SUPERVISORY AND LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with Human Resources to attract, develop and retain the staff in the Marketing department to develop diverse, high-caliber talent that can lead the organization today and build the leadership bench strength for the future.
- Provides day to day leadership to marketing associates to achieve revenue objectives with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and efficient workflow.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and manages employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensures that all marketing campaigns, seasonal calendars, online promotions, website content, processes, jobs, and performance management systems are in place to accomplish the departmental goals in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Transfers functional knowledge and develops marketing and content/demand management skills of other discipline managers.
