What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steward (The Seagate Beach Club) position at The Lake House?
The Seagate Beach Club is currently looking to hire a Steward/Dishwasher to work in the kitchen area. The Steward/Dishwasher will be responsible for washing and properly storing all cooking utensils, pots, china equipment, flatware, and glassware.
Steward/Dishwasher Responsibilities:
- Wash all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand.
- Polish all silverware and platters.
- Collect trash from kitchen areas; empties garbage barrels, wash, and reline with new bags.
- Examine garbage for silverware, dishes, and glassware.
- Wash and polish all stainless steel in the kitchen, including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, coffee areas, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc.
- Wash or clean the receiving area and trash areas.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
- Clean dish machine after each meal period.
- Perform other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning coolers, freezes, and storerooms.
- Be able to lift 30 lbs comfortably.
- Assists with other duties as instructed by Sous and Executive Chef.
