Associate Attorney Job Description:

The Associate Attorney will work with Leavitt Law Firm’s four attorneys. The Associate Attorney will assist the firm's attorneys on their caseloads, and eventually handle their own caseload as responsible attorney. As a primarily family law firm, experience in family law is preferred.

Associate Attorney Job Duties:

• Drafting motions in divorce, custody, and other family law matters.
• Preparing pleadings in divorce, custody, child support, and guardianship cases.
• Meet with clients.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
• Write legal memos or correspondence to opposing counsel or clients.
• Tracking and billing your time.
• Must maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.
• Be able to accept new and other reasonable responsibilities.

Associate Attorney Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have a juris doctor and be licensed by the State Bar of Nevada.
• Family law experience preferred (though not required).
• Must be self-motivated.
• Excellent grammar, writing, and computer skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must be comfortable with Apple/Mac products.
