Description
KONG Company is seeking a candidate to fill a Systems Administrator position supporting KONG’s IT operations in the U.S., Australia, and the UK. The candidate will assist the IT manager to maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems running virtualized Windows servers. Provides support on a Monday-Friday business-hours schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by business or emergency situations. All work is to be performed based on service level agreements (SLA) or industry-accepted service delivery standards. Candidate is required to support the development, documentation and tracking of performance metrics. This position will be located onsite in our Golden Headquarters.
Responsibilities
· Be able to work in a rapid paced environment and must be able to work independently.
· Duties include setting up administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software and allocate mass storage space.
· Manages user technology needs and support requests.
· Evaluates hardware, software, network and process tools.
· Develops and monitors policies and standards related to the use of computing resources.
· Maintain Windows Active Directory (Azure AD Connect) and related tools.
· Maintain Veeam backups, replications, modifications, and disaster recovery procedures.
· Maintains Group Policy and applies local security policies.
· System hardware and application software installation and configuration.
· System monitoring using installed tools as well as external tools.
· Maintains system and application security settings based on commercial best practices.
· Responsible for maintaining the virtual infrastructure hardware, operating systems, storage, and virtual machines which support KONG’s business.
· Develops and maintains detailed documentation and standard operating procedures.
· Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff including interns.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and six or more years of overall related experience with a Windows Server environment (e.g. 2012r2, 2016, 2019).
· Six or more years of experience with VMWare management and administration.
· Six or more years of experience with back-end Infrastructure technologies and principles (Virtual Machines, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Security).
· Advanced scripting knowledge such as PowerShell 2.0/3.0/4.0, Python, and Perl.
· Advanced Citrix Cloud experience with migrating from Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop.
· Experience with storage area networks and network attached storage (Dell VXRail, HP Nimble).
· A thorough knowledge of networking principles to including local and wide area IPv4 networks.
